SORTING PLANTS

GSP – Glass Sorting Plant

Through the recovery and separation of waste glass, glass sorting plants lower the demand for raw materials and decrease energy use in glass production. Preventing glass from accumulating in the environment also reduces pollution and promotes responsible resource management.

4 Key Steps in GSP Sorting

  • Collection and Transportation: Plastic waste is collected from various sources and transported to the plant for processing
  • Sorting and Pre-Cleaning: Collected waste is separated according to color, density and type. At this stage, foreign materials (lid, label, metal parts) and dirt are also removed.
  • Shredding and Washing: Separated waste is turned into small pieces. Shredded Plastic is washed with hot water and various cleaning solutions to remove sticky residues, oils and other dirt.
  • Drying and Burring: Cleaned and separated plastic parts are dried, then packaged and made ready to be reused as raw material.
