WTS – Waste Transfer Stations

Waste Transfer Stations consolidate waste from local collection points onto larger vehicles, reducing transportation costs and fuel usage. By optimizing waste logistics, they support efficient, eco-friendly delivery to landfills or recycling centers.

Main Steps of Transfer Stations

  • Waste Acceptance and Temporary Storage:
Wastes brought by garbage collection vehicles are accepted to the station, temporarily stored and prepared for processing.
  • Transfer and Compaction: Waste is compacted to reduce its volume before being loaded onto larger transport vehicles, thereby increasing transport efficiency.
  • Transportation: The compacted waste is loaded onto large transport vehicles for transportation to landfills or recycling facilities, and shipment takes place.
